Pavithra is a stylish player who likes to play classic shots, he learnt the basics at
St.John's College(Nugegoda,Sri Lanka) and when he was strong enough he joined in 2008 the Nondescript Cricket Club(Colombo,Sri Lanka) U15 Academy squad and he was selected to tour India for 5 matchs as an opening batsman.
In 2010, Pavithra joined USCA and had a good season so far with the bat, he's playing for the U19 team and also for the Senior First and Second XI.
